Nate & Samantha’s big day was something straight out of a fairytale. There’s something extra special about photographing a good friends wedding, especially someone like Nate. If you don’t know him, he’s one hell of a nice guy with a big heart, who loves his family, his dogs, & his home state of West Virginia (COUNTRY ROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAADS, TAKE ME HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME); which is exactly where this beautiful day took place. Nestled in the heart of Jefferson County,The Barns at Maple Valley Farms was a dreamy venue with an epic view and so many photo opportunities it was almost overwhelming. In other words, it was a photographer’s dream…
And don’t even get me started on the connection between Nate & Samantha. I was lucky enough to see Nate a few days before the wedding, and when I asked how he was doing, his exact words were: “I’m sick of waiting to make that girl my wife!” You’d believe every word of that if you were there the second he saw Samantha walking down that aisle. These are the moments we live for as creatives in this industry.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this was a day for the record books. A day that left my heart full, knowing I did some of my best work for some of the best people on the planet.
